Total Marks: 56
Knowledge & Understanding (20 marks)
- 20 Multiple Choice (distributed across all ISU sections)
Thinking & Inquiry (15 marks)
- REDOX half reactions
- Balancing (acid, base, half reaction method)
- Net Ionics & Cell Potential
- Given Net Ionic - determine if spontaneous
- Electroplating & Electrolysis
Application (7 marks)
- Given scenario - will it be spontaneous? Write half & net ionic equations
- Batteries (short answer)
Communication (14 marks)
- Galvanic Cells - label diagram, anode and cathode half reactions, etc.
- Corrosion (short answer)
Don't forget that you may add one extra page of info and your notes on your ISU. You will not be using the ISU question booklet or any of the readings. Please ensure that you study. Open book tests seem harder if you haven't reviewed the material "because it's open book". The test will also take longer if you are flipping back and forth to find answers you don't know without your notes. Organize and review your work so that the use of your ISU booklet will be only for a reference periodically.
